FPA of Illinois is excited to once again host Money Smart Week® 2018.

When:  12pm to 3pm on Monday, April 23th
Where:  Harold Washington Library, Chicago

Christine Benz from Morningstar will help us kick off the event with an introductory presentation, Strategies for Investment Success at Every Life Stage.

After Christine’s presentation, attendees will have an opportunity to meet with planners for free, one-on-one sessions.  All you need to do is bring your knowledge.  We will take care of pens, paper, and the College for Financial Planning’s 2018 Annual Limits Relating to Financial Planning.

We would like to have 12 - 15 planners.  Thus far, we have 6 volunteers confirmed.  If you are a CFP® professional and are interested in volunteering as a planner for this year's event, please e-mail me by Friday, March 23.

If you are a CFP® professional and are interested in volunteering as a planner for this year's event, please contact me at  We would like to have 20 - 25 planners and will respond on a first come first serve basis.  Volunteers will need to arrive by 11:30.  Additional information to follow.

This is a great opportunity to give back to the community without having to make a long-term commitment.  Please consider volunteering.  Can’t volunteer?  PLEASE help by promoting the event on social media, by providing me with the names of organizations that work with individuals who could benefit from attending, or forwarding this to other FPA members you know.

Thank you,

Tammy Wener
