VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES DURING MONEY SMART WEEK
Monday, April 19th, 12 - 2 PM: 40 volunteers needed
Terry Savage, nationally known financial speaker, will give a presentation from 12:00-1:00 PM in the Harold Washington Library's auditorium. The 50 volunteers will provide two 30 minute financial planning consultations immediately following Ms. Savage's presentation. This high profile event will be heavily promoted. Wednesday, April 21st, 6-9 PM: 15 volunteers needed
Chicago Tribune columnist Gail Marksjarvis will give a presentation at the University of Chicago Gleacher Center, 450 North Cityfront Plaza Drive, Chicago. We need 15 volunteers to provide consultations after her presentation.
Thursday, April 22nd, 6 – 9 PM: 30-40 volunteers needed
Jean Chatzky will give a presentation at Harper College, Wojcik Conference Center, 1200 West Algonquin Road, Palatine, IL. We need 30-40 volunteers to provide consultations after her presentation. This high profile event will be heavily promoted.
Junior Achievement – April 20-23: 16 Volunteers needed
We need 10 volunteers to teach Junior Achievement programs to kindergarten through 6th grade classes at a Chicago Public School to be announced. We also need six volunteers to teach Junior Achievement programs at a grade school in the far Northwest Suburbs. We will be making our media contacts aware of these events and hope to have press coverage of our volunteers. Thank you for your help in promoting the awareness of our profession.
Libraries
We need seven media trained volunteers to give presentations at libraries.
