Jorie L. Pitt, CFP®


Jorie is excited for the opportunity to serve as President for FPA of Illinois. She has been a member of FPA since 2008 and has been an active member of the special events committee that helps plan Money Smart Week and Financial Planning Day. Jorie graduated from the University of Illinois, Champaign which she attended as a Chick Evans Scholarship recipient. Subsequently, she pursued the Certified Financial Planner™ designation and received the marks in 2008. Jorie works as a financial planner for AHC Advisors in St. Charles, IL. She is passionate about building well-designed financial plans for each client who comes to AHC. She enjoys getting to know each client personally and helping to guide them towards making sound financial decisions. The combination of meeting great people and making a positive contribution to their lives results in a very fulfilling career. Jorie is married and lives in the western suburb of Darien. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with family and friends, reading great books and attending the theater to see plays and musicals.

Valerie Janke, CFP®

Jennifer Gould, CFP®, CRPC®, Associate, is a member of BlackRock’s Private Investors Group.  As a Senior Portfolio Specialist, Jennifer partners with a team of portfolio managers offering Merrill Lynch Financial Advisors and Client Associates assistance in providing customized investment solutions to their high net worth and institutional clients.  Ms. Gould’s service with the firm dates back to 1998, including her years with Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (MLIM), which merged with BlackRock in 2006.  At MLIM, she was a Senior Portfolio Specialist in the Private Investors division.  Ms. Gould earned a BS degree in Special Education from Northern Illinois University and an MBA degree from Olivet Nazarene University.  She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and a Chartered Retirement Plan CounselorSM designee.  Jennifer holds the Series 7 and 66 licenses.

Tammy Wener, CFP®, MBA

Director of Public Awareness


Tammy is the co-founder of RW Financial Planning, LLC, an independent financial planning firm which provides objective, candid, and practical financial planning advice completely untethered from insurance and investments sales. Tammy earned a BS in Finance from Illinois State University and an MBA from DePaul University.


Outside of RWFP, Tammy is a member of the Greater North Shore Estate and Financial Planning Council, serves on the board of a local not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the comfort and quality of life for children with special needs, and is a volunteer tax preparer for the Center for Economic Progress. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and is an avid reader and a CrossFit enthusiast.

Carl Hibben, CFP®

Carl Hibben is a Financial Planner with BMO Private Bank. Carl provides customized financial planning solutions to high net worth individuals and families as part of an overall personal wealth management strategy. He joined the organization in 2010, and has over 13 years of experience in the financial industry.


Carl earned a BS in Financial Planning from Purdue University – West Lafayette, IN. He also earned a Master of Science in Wealth Management with Distinction from DePaul University – Chicago, IL. Carl is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner and a member of the Financial Planning Association.


Carl makes his home in Chicago with his wife, two daughters, and two dogs. In his free time Carl enjoys running and taking guitar lessons at the Old Town School of Folk Music.




Dana DeLance

Dana DeLance is an Associate Wealth Advisor with Mariner Wealth Advisors - Chicago. As an associate, she works with other advisors to provide wealth management services to corporate executives and high net worth individuals.  Prior to her current position, she served as a planning associate with two other well established firms. Dana received her Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Consumer Economics with a concentration in Financial Planning from the University of Illinois - Champaign/Urbana. This program is registered with the CFP Board of Standards which qualifies graduates to sit for the CFP comprehensive exam. DeLance also serves as Secretary for the National NexGen Leadership Board and is on the Chicago FPA NexGen Board.




Randall T. Bruns, CFP®

Randy is a Private Wealth Advisor with HighPoint Planning Partners, a Chicago-based registered investment advisor that delivers professional financial planning and investment management to families and small businesses. Outside of his practice he is a community advocate for financial literacy, speaking annually at numerous events across Illinois. Randy is a key partner to the Chicago Public Library in organizing both Chicago Financial Planning Day and Money Smart Week®, helped introduced the pro bono financial planning efforts at College of DuPage's annual "Age Well DuPage" event, and leads FPA-Illinois in its efforts to provide free financial planning to military members and their families through a partnership with Illinois Joining Forces. In 2014 he became a personal finance writer on behalf of FPA-Illinois and his articles have been featured in various newspapers throughout the Midwest. Randy graduated with honors from Millikin University and subsequently earned his designation as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. He joined the Financial Planning Association® in 2012 and served as Pro Bono Chair for its Illinois chapter before accepting his current role as Director of Public Awareness.

Tom Howard, CFP®

Tom Howard is a wealth advisor and lead planner in the Smithberg Group at Noyes & Company. He focuses on mitigating risk while building secure financial plans for families at all life stages. Building reliable income streams for individuals in or near retirement is a keystone of his practice.He is passionate about financial planning as a means to know his clients and to create successful investment solutions for them.


Tom joined Noyes in 2012 from BMO Harris Bank. He is a Certified Financial Planner, Series 7, 63, 65, Life & Long-term Care Insurance licensed. Tom is past president of the FPA of Illinois and is active with the Food for Greater Elgin and Fox Valley Habitat for Humanity.

Lori J. Miller

Lori is a Registered Principal/Business Owner, Wealth Manager, Investment Advisor and Certified Financial Planner Practitioner ™ with LPL Financial, and is also known as “”. She has 26 years of diversified financial and technology professional experience with Fortune 500 Companies, government, all the way through to small businesses, but since 2006 has devoted her energies to helping individuals, families, and businesses work towards financial freedom as an independent advisor. She holds a B.S. in Finance from San Diego State University, an M.S. in Management Information Systems from North Central College, the CFP® credential, and numerous Securities and Insurance Licenses. Paul Lechner, Esq., CPA

Mr. Lechner is an Attorney and Certified Public Accountant. He acts as outside general counsel to a number of privately owned businesses. He uses his accounting and finance background to assist clients in the diligence necessary in starting new ventures, operating their ongoing enterprises, arranging financing, and preparing business succession plans. He is also involved in complex commercial litigation when required.
His estate planning practice includes preparing wills and trusts at all levels of complexity, counseling clients regarding estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer taxes, asset protection planning for closely-held business assets, and Elder Life Care Planning including Veterans and Medicaid Asset protection planning. Lance P. Eaton, CFP®

Lance P. Eaton entered the investment industry in 1999.  He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner and holds FINRA Series 7, 63, 66 licenses and is Life & Health Insurance (CA) licensed.


Lance works for a large National Broker/Dealer as a Corporate Services Financial Consultant, where he provides guidance on equity compensation plans and solutions to officers, directors and insiders of publicly traded companies.  He has advanced knowledge in the navigation and management of equity compensation as well as wealth management & comprehensive portfolio management.  He also is experienced in the handling of Rule 144 transactions and provides guidance regarding 10b5-1 Trading Plans.  Lance has diverse experience having worked at UBS Financial Services and Oppenheimer & Co as a Vice President of Investments.


Lance has lived in Chicago since late 2012.  He lives and works in The Loop.  He has spent most of his Financial Services career in Los Angeles, CA with some time in Phoenix, AZ, Austin, TX and Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
